Revolving lifting screws allow axial as well as inclined and transverse pulls, up to a maximum angle of 90° from the anchor axis. However, this requires additional reinforcement to transfer the resulting loads. This lifting device must screw easily and smoothly into the anchor thread all the way to the stop. After screwing in, the hoist must be turned slightly back so that the lower eye is always aligned with the axis of the ropes carrying the precast element. To protect the threaded systems embedded in precast elements against outdoor conditions (e.g. corrosion, dust, water, etc.), we recommend treating the threads with, for example, release oil and sealing them with a plastic plug. Inspections of lifting screws with a revolving eye must be carried out by a qualified and trained worker at least once a year. Records of these inspections must be included in the test reports, which the user is obliged to present at the request of inspection authorities. With more frequent use of these lifting devices, wear inspections must be performed more often. The user is obliged to keep records of every lifting device in a manner consistent with internal company regulations. Before first use, we recommend that the user permanently mark the lifting screws with an inventory number. - Any modifications (grinding) or repairs of lifting screws with a revolving eye, and especially welding, are not permissible! - These lifting devices are designed for repeated loading; they are not intended for permanent and constant loads! - Before each use, the lifting device must be checked by a designated and certified worker.
