Circular lifting loops with cable (with ring) allow axial as well as inclined and transverse pulls, up to a maximum angle of 90° from the anchor axis. However, this requires additional reinforcement in the anchor head area to transfer the inclined and transverse loads. It must be emphasized that the radius of the lifting hook must always be at least 2× larger than the diameter of the loop cable, and at least 5× larger for load capacities above 10 tonnes. This reduces wear of the loop and extends its service life. The cables must not come into contact with aggressive materials and liquids, such as acids, which could cause considerable corrosion. The circular lifting loop must screw easily and freely into the anchor thread. Inspections of circular lifting loops with cable must be carried out by a qualified and trained worker at least once a year. With more frequent use of these loops, wear inspections must be performed more often. Circular lifting loops with cable are designed for repeated loading; they are not intended for permanent and constant loads! Any modifications (grinding) or repairs of circular lifting loops with cable, and especially welding, are not permissible!
